Dadu signs with Fijian Drua

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua have secured the services of Nacani Boginisoko, a standout player from the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team, for the upcoming 2027 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season. Boginisoko's addition to the main squad marks a significant step in his burgeoning rugby career.

Boginisoko, 26, has made eight appearances for the national sevens side, scoring two tries across two tournaments. His reputation for explosive speed, power, and an ability to break defensive lines has been consistently demonstrated at various levels of the sport. He first gained national recognition playing for Dominion Brothers, where his performance earned him the Under-21 Player of the Tournament award at the Marist 7s.

His strong showings led to a call-up to the Fiji Airways Fiji Men’s 7s squad earlier this year. He made his international debut in Singapore and subsequently played in Perth as part of the HSBC SVNS Series. Hailing from Naivakarauniniu in Kadavu, with maternal ties to Nadroga, Boginisoko expressed his gratitude for the opportunity.

Fijian Drua General Manager Rugby, Baden Stephenson, described Boginisoko as an exciting prospect whose progression from local competitions to the international sevens stage has earned him this opportunity. Stephenson believes Boginisoko's attributes will translate well to the Super Rugby Pacific competition, and the club is eager to support his development.
