Daewoo E&C Expands Social Contribution Activities, From Jungnangcheon Restoration to Czech Fire Truck Donation

Daewoo Engineering & Construction is broadening its social contribution efforts through its flagship brand 'BETTER TOGETHER,' focusing on environmental preservation, community partnership, and employee involvement. The company structures its initiatives under two main pillars: 'Better Environment' and 'Better Society.'

Key areas of focus include minimizing environmental impact, restoring ecosystems, supporting local communities, fostering employee volunteerism, and aiding overseas project areas. In the environmental sector, Daewoo E&C connects employees' daily ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities with its social contribution programs. Since this year, the company introduced the 'ESG Point System,' where employees earn points and track their carbon reduction achievements by completing ESG missions in their daily lives.

During the first half of the year, 2,326 employees participated, accumulating approximately 70 million points. This initiative reportedly led to a carbon reduction effect of 76 tons. The company plans to select 10 projects through employee proposals based on achieved points, further integrating staff into its sustainability efforts.
