Daily Star correspondent receives Youth Impact Award 2026

Rakib Madbar, a correspondent for The Daily Star stationed at Jagannath University, has been honored with the Youth Impact Award 2026. The Children Watch Foundation (CWF) presented the award during the Youth Impact Summit 2026, held at Jagannath University.

The summit's primary focus was on fostering skills, amplifying the voices of young people, and developing their leadership potential. According to the CWF, the Youth Impact Award was established in 2025, with three individuals receiving it in its inaugural year. This year, a rigorous selection process identified Rakib Madbar as the sole recipient.

Madbar's recognition stems from his dedicated engagement with young individuals, his active participation in various positive initiatives, and his consistent efforts to ensure their voices are heard. The summit itself featured extensive discussions centered on the crucial role of youth skills, voice, and leadership in driving social change.
