Dalseong County to Host 30th Bislsan Camellia Festival with Rich Programs

The Dong-A Ilbo is proud to highlight the 30th Bislsan Camellia Festival, a signature spring event for Dalseong County. This year's festival promises an even richer experience, commemorating its milestone anniversary with an expanded array of programs and improved facilities for visitors.

The festivities kick off on April 17th at the National Daegu Science Museum Plaza, featuring a commemorative ceremony with performances by the Dalseong County Choir, a captivating media facade show, and a unique '2026 servings of camellia bibimbap' performance. Top artists like Jang Yoon-jeong, Jo Sung-mo, Na Sang-do, Oh Yu-jin, and Norazo will grace the stage, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display.

Beyond the opening day, April 18th and 19th will offer continuous entertainment with performances by local artists, a marketplace for agricultural and specialty products, and a flea market. Recognizing the perennial issue of traffic congestion, the Dalseong Cultural Foundation has proactively secured two additional temporary parking lots in the Yongri area of Yuga-eup. Free shuttle buses will provide convenient transport from these lots to the festival grounds.

County Mayor Choi Jae-hoon expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We have prepared diverse programs to ensure the 30th Bislsan Camellia Festival solidifies its position as Dalseong County's representative spring festival, enjoyed by visitors from all over the country.
