Danish James Bond game sells four million copies

The Danish-developed James Bond game, '007 First Light,' has achieved significant commercial success, selling four million copies in less than three months since its market debut. IO Interactive, the game's producer, announced the milestone on its website, highlighting the title as one of the fastest-selling games of the year.

Developing '007 First Light' was a substantial undertaking, requiring seven years of work and an investment of 1.3 billion Danish kroner. The game was initially teased at a trade fair in Cologne last year before its official release at the end of May this year.

This success story for IO Interactive adds to a landscape of notable Danish achievements. In other news, Lego reported record-breaking sales for the first half of its fiscal year, with astronomical revenues of 41.9 billion Danish kroner, a significant increase from the previous year. The company attributes part of its success to a growing adult consumer base for its products.

Additionally, Danish NFL player Hjalte Froholdt has secured a two-year contract extension with the Arizona Cardinals, valued at $20 million. Froholdt, who has been in the NFL since being drafted in 2019, will now be under contract through the end of the 2028 season.
