Danish Youth Council Rejects Criticism of Young Politicians

The Danish Youth Council has firmly rejected criticism suggesting that young politicians are inexperienced and overly reliant on social media, leading to a decline in the quality of political work. Critics, both inside and outside parliament, argue that the Folketing's increased youthfulness has resulted in a loss of experience and a focus on "show" politics.

Anneline Larsen, the chairwoman of the Danish Youth Council, countered these claims by emphasizing that young people are still underrepresented in the Danish parliament. She stated that despite the Folketing having its youngest members ever, the overall presence of youth voices remains insufficient for a truly representative democracy.
