Dave, Tems 'Raindance' makes Spotify's 2026 Songs of Summer predictions

British-Nigerian artist Dave and Nigerian singer Tems have earned a spot on Spotify's anticipated "Songs of Summer" list for 2026 with their collaborative track "Raindance."

The song, a feature from Tems on Dave's album "The Boy Who Played the Harp," has already achieved significant global success. It has surpassed 500 million streams worldwide and marked Tems' first UK Singles Chart number one.

Spotify's global editorial team curated the list by identifying emerging trends in music streaming. Talia Kraines, Editorial Lead for Pop at Spotify, described the selected songs as those that "make you feel good, that you can listen to outside in the sunshine with your friends, and that have the ability to travel across genres, people, and countries."

"Raindance" is noted for its blend of Tems' soulful vocals and Dave's introspective rap style. The track was produced by Jo Caleb, Kyle Evans, and Jim Legxacy, alongside the artists themselves. Spotify's 2026 list encompasses a diverse range of global artists across pop, rap, Afrobeats, and electronic music, also introducing an in-app voting feature for users to predict the season's biggest hit.
