David Beckham Becomes First Footballer Honored with Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

David Beckham, the former captain of the England national football team, has achieved a new milestone, becoming the first footballer to be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His star, the 2,849th, was unveiled in a ceremony in Los Angeles.

"I have to admit that all of this seems quite surreal. My career has had many amazing moments, but being here in Los Angeles and receiving a star on the world-famous Hollywood Walk of Fame is truly incredible," Beckham said during the award ceremony. The 51-year-old athlete has had a distinguished career, playing 115 matches for the national team and scoring 17 goals. He represented renowned clubs including Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain.

Beyond his on-field achievements, Beckham's influence extends to business ventures. The Times previously named him the first British athlete billionaire. He holds a significant stake in the MLS club Inter Miami, where Lionel Messi currently plays, a share estimated to be worth around £300 million.
