‘Daylight Robbery’: 5 Euro Toilet Charge at Lithuania’s Sea Festival Sparks Outrage

A visitor to Lithuania's annual Sea Festival in Klaipėda expressed outrage over a 5 euro charge for using a restaurant's toilet. The festival-goer described the price as "daylight robbery" and "incomprehensible," stating that decent businesses do not behave this way.

Let me put it simply – this is robbery in broad daylight.

While acknowledging that prices at cafes and restaurants might be slightly inflated for the festive occasion, the visitor found the toilet charge particularly egregious. They noted that after searching the entire festival, no other vendor had a similar exorbitant price. The offending restaurant was located near the Cruise Ship Terminal along the Danė River.

The Sea Festival, which began on Thursday and officially kicked off on Friday, is celebrating its 67th year. This year's theme is cinema, inviting attendees to immerse themselves in a film atmosphere.
