DD Volunteer's Body Evacuated by Helicopter

The body of Ahmad Zaki Ali, a volunteer for DD (Dompet Dhuafa), was transported via a Basarnas helicopter from Ronting Village in North Lambaleda Subdistrict, East Manggarai Regency, to Labuan Bajo. The evacuation was carried out due to the challenging terrain and remote location of Ronting Village, which made conventional transportation methods difficult.

Basarnas, the national search and rescue agency, utilized its air transport capabilities to ensure the dignified and timely evacuation of the deceased volunteer. This operation highlights the agency's role in assisting communities, particularly in remote areas where access is limited.

Following the helicopter transport to Labuan Bajo, further arrangements for the repatriation and final rites of Ahmad Zaki Ali are expected to be made. The involvement of Basarnas underscores the collaborative efforts often required in such situations, involving local government, volunteer organizations, and national agencies.
