De Beers' Talisman Collection Honors Natural Diamond Beauty with New Designs

De Beers London expands its iconic Talisman high jewelry collection with four new creations: bracelets, pendants, earrings, and rings. These new pieces boldly reinterpret the brand's signature design, featuring larger proportions and three-dimensional sculpted contours. They continue to highlight the distinctive contrast between natural rough diamonds and polished diamonds, creating a more layered and artistic aesthetic.

Since its debut in 2005, the Talisman collection has established a unique design identity by pairing natural rough diamonds with polished ones. The uncut rough diamonds retain their organic shapes formed over millions of years, offering a raw texture, while the precisely cut polished diamonds provide brilliant sparkle. This juxtaposition creates a balance between the rugged and the refined, the natural and the crafted.

A key feature of the collection is De Beers' signature "Poinçon" goldsmithing technique, also known as "鑿點" (chisel point). Instead of traditional metal prongs, artisans meticulously hand-sculpt the metal to fit the contours of each rough stone, securing it firmly onto the gold surface. This method imbues the pieces with rich three-dimensional texture and tactile quality, perfectly accentuating the unique natural silhouette of every diamond.

The new additions maintain the collection's core philosophy with more substantial proportions. The gold bracelet, for instance, is adorned with approximately 11 carats of rough and polished diamonds, with a central 1-carat white diamond as a focal point, complemented by 14 warm-toned rough diamonds for a rich interplay of light and shadow. The Cocktail ring features a domed design, integrating white diamonds with six natural rough diamonds to create a landscape-like, undulating surface.
