Deadline extended for Greece's home renovation and energy upgrade programs

Greece has announced an extension for its popular energy upgrade and renovation programs, offering a crucial reprieve to thousands of households. Government Spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis confirmed that the deadlines for programs such as "Exoikonomo" (Economize) and "Anakenizo gia neous" (Renovate for Youth) have been extended.

Eligible beneficiaries will now have until November 30 to complete their renovation works. This new deadline surpasses the initial limitations imposed by the Recovery Fund, providing much-needed additional time for homeowners to finalize their projects.

The extension applies to "Exoikonomo" programs from the years 2021, 2023, and 2025, as well as the "Anakenizo gia neous" initiative. To qualify for the extended deadline, homeowners must have already paid an advance to their suppliers or have their applications approved and in a queue status.
