Deadly drone attack hits Moscow region warehouse; Wildberries center targeted in Leningrad

A drone attack on a warehouse in the Moscow region has claimed five lives and injured six people, Governor Andrei Vorobyov announced. The attack occurred in the town of Czechow, where drone strikes ignited several fires in an industrial zone, including one engulfing a warehouse. Preliminary reports indicate that the attack also damaged a power substation and an administrative building. Debris from a downed drone reportedly struck a residential building and a car in the village of Solnyshkovo.

Simultaneously, a Wildberries logistics center in the Krasny Bor district of the Leningrad region was targeted in a separate attack, sparking a fire. Employees of the center were evacuated prior to the incident. Wildberries confirmed that operations at the Krasny Bor facility have been temporarily limited, with shipments being rerouted to other company locations.

This latest series of attacks follows a pattern of Ukrainian drone strikes on Wildberries facilities across Russia since July 18. Previous targets have included locations in Elektrostal, Kotovsk, Krasnodar, Nevinnomyssk, Simferopol, Voronezh, Ryazan, Penza, Volgograd, and the Samara region. Ukrainian officials justify these strikes by stating that the Wildberries platform is used to deliver dual-use products, including electronics and navigation equipment, which are then utilized in the production of drones for the Russian military.
