A fierce fire erupted in Kasangulu, located in the Kongo-Central province of the Democratic Republic of Congo, on Sunday, August 9th. Eyewitness accounts suggest the fire began at the entrance of the Kasangulu train station when a fuel truck was involved in an accident. A tire burst reportedly caused the truck to lose balance, spilling its flammable contents onto roadside stalls.
