Delfi to reveal Lithuania’s most influential people at major ceremony

Delfi is preparing to reveal Lithuania’s most influential people at a formal ceremony on October 1, continuing a tradition that began in 2015. The event will name leaders in politics, business and economics, public service, civic life, media, sports and entertainment.

Delfi editor-in-chief Rasa Lukaitytė-Vnarauskienė said the rankings had grown into an annual tradition and an important event for Lithuanian society. The leaders will be announced at the ceremony first, while the full lists will later appear on the Delfi news portal.

The rankings draw on several studies. Research agency Spinter measures public opinion, while the magazine Reitingai surveys members of the elite. Since 2025, Delfi has also published an overall ranking based on a specially developed methodology.

When we first decided in 2015 to look at who the most influential people in Lithuania were, we honestly did not know that it would become such a long-standing tradition and an important phenomenon for Lithuanian society.

Delfi began presenting the rankings in a formal ceremony last year. The event will again include original statuettes created by artist Sigita Grabliauskaitė, musical performances by Lithuanian stage stars and a live blue-carpet broadcast before the official program. Journalists Greta Klimkaitė and Kristina Pocytė-Medutė will host and interview arriving guests, alongside event presenter Tautvydas Baltramonaitis.

The ceremony will be broadcast at 7 p.m. on October 1 through Delfi TV and the Delfi news portal.
