Deli Serdang Wins Best Pavilion at North Sumatra Expo 2026

The Deli Serdang Regency government has secured the top prize for its pavilion at the 50th North Sumatra Expo 2026. The award, recognizing the best pavilion chosen by organizers, was presented by North Sumatra Deputy Governor Surya to Deli Serdang Deputy Regent Lom Lom Suwondo during the event's closing ceremony in Medan.

Lom Lom Suwondo expressed gratitude to all regional apparatus organizations (OPD), partners, and the pavilion team for their hard work in showcasing the region's strengths. He emphasized that this achievement is a result of collaboration and shared commitment. "On behalf of the Deli Serdang Regency Government and all its people, we thank the entire pavilion team, partners, and OPDs for their hard work. This award is the result of collaboration and shared commitment," Lom Lom stated.

He further highlighted that the award will motivate the Deli Serdang Regency Government to continue innovating, improving public services, and strengthening regional promotion efforts. Deputy Governor Surya described the North Sumatra Expo as a strategic collaboration space, bringing together government, businesses, MSMEs, communities, and the public to support regional development. He expressed hope that the spirit of togetherness fostered during the exhibition would continue.

Meanwhile, PT Pembangunan Prasarana Sumatera Utara (PPSU) President Director Ferry Indra noted that the 50th North Sumatra Expo aimed to be a more modern regional promotion platform, targeting a significant economic impact. The expo, which ran for 31 days, attracted 161,309 visitors and recorded Rp50.71 billion in economic transactions. The event featured pavilions from various regencies and regional agencies, MSME stalls, international pavilions, cultural performances, public services, and investment promotions.
