"Delicious in Dungeon" anime season 2 set for October 2027 release

Fans of the anime "Delicious in Dungeon" will have to wait until October 2027 for the second season. Studio Trigger confirmed the release window at the recent Anime Expo event. While no new footage was shown, the studio released new art to accompany the announcement for a global Netflix premiere.

The production team for the upcoming season includes Yoshihiro Miyajima as director, Kimiko Ueno for story, Naoki Takeda for character design, and Yasunori Mitsuda for music. These key figures return to bring the celebrated manga by Ryoko Kui to life.

The first season, which ran for 24 episodes starting in January 2024, introduced viewers to a fantasy world where humans, elves, and dwarves explore dungeons. The story centered on the adventurer Laios and his company, who, after being defeated by a dragon and losing a member, resort to eating monsters and anything else available to survive their quest to rescue their companion.
