Delta at 35: Governor Oborevwori Attributes Development to Peace, Promises Brighter Future

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori celebrated the state's 35th anniversary, attributing its development primarily to the sustained peace among its diverse population. During a thanksgiving service in Asaba, Oborevwori emphasized that the anniversary was a moment for both celebrating achievements and planning for the future.

Let me first give thanks to Almighty God for His grace and for keeping Delta State for 35 years. It has been 35 years of a remarkable journey, and by God’s grace, we will continue to play our part to ensure that the achievements of our state are sustained and improved upon.

He expressed gratitude for divine grace and commended the people of Delta for maintaining peace despite ethnic and religious differences.
