Denis Kitaev: Life, real estate, and work at Vesper

Denis Kitaev is a prominent developer whose name is closely linked to his real estate company, Vesper. From its inception until 2022, Kitaev was instrumental in shaping the company's product vision and design principles. His leadership is credited with Vesper's strong market position, entering 2026 as a major Moscow developer with an impressive sales record of over 90 percent of units sold before completion.

Kitaev's background includes studying finance at the Financial Academy under the Government of Russia, where he met his future business partner, Boris Azarenko. After gaining initial experience in banking, Kitaev transitioned over a decade into roles with increasing responsibility in property development and construction firms. He managed resources, ensured quality control, and oversaw project execution, accumulating substantial practical expertise.

In 2005, Kitaev, alongside Azarenko and other partners, founded his first development company, Evocom. This venture allowed him to apply his financial acumen and real estate experience on a larger scale, covering all stages from financing and concept development to construction and asset management. Evocom operated during a volatile period in the Russian property market, developing both residential and office properties, laying the groundwork for future successes.

By the early 2010s, Moscow's luxury housing market was evolving. Sophisticated buyers, influenced by international standards from cities like London and Paris, sought higher quality in their Moscow residences. Recognizing a gap between limited high-quality supply and growing demand, Kitaev aimed not just to build expensive apartments but to redefine elite housing in Moscow, aspiring to create projects that met these elevated expectations.
