Deportes Limache Beat Ñublense in Delayed Match to Move Toward International Places

Deportes Limache made up its postponed fixture in the Liga de Primera with a 2-0 victory over Ñublense at the Lucio Fariña Fernández Stadium in Quillota. The result moved the home side closer to the places that qualify for international competitions.

Limache took the initiative in an even first half as it sought to recover from its defeat by Everton. The main incident before the break came in the 42nd minute, when a penalty initially awarded to Ñublense was overturned after a VAR review.

The match opened up soon after halftime. Daniel Castro broke the deadlock in the 49th minute, connecting with a pass from Misael Llantén and beating goalkeeper Nicola Pérez.

Juan José Ribera’s Ñublense pushed forward and introduced attacking players in search of an equalizer. Limache held firm, then secured the victory late in the match. A double rebound fell to “Popín”, and during the ensuing pressure Osvaldo Bosso deflected the ball into his own net in the 86th minute.

The victory took Deportes Limache to 30 points and strengthened its position in the chase for international competition places.
