"The heat does not influence the fact of attacking or defending. We knew it was going to be hot. We have done what is necessary with the protocols," Deschamps said during a press conference. He noted that the team began acclimatizing to warm conditions as early as May 29 at their training center in Clairefontaine. "It is a factor and all the teams have prepared. It is the fifth match with the bodies very strained, but I do not have an obsession with the heat."

On the sporting front, France appears to be in a strong position. The team is reportedly in excellent health, with the sole confirmed absence being forward Marcus Thuram due to physical issues.
