Designer Calls Mountain Lodge "Raw and Simple" Masterpiece

Designer Erik Lindmark, the founder of the eyewear brand EOE Eyewear, has identified Niehku Mountain Villa as the world's most beautiful design hotel. Lindmark, who is currently promoting his brand's resort collection inspired by his ties to Sri Lanka, praised the small mountain hotel for its unpretentious and natural integration with its surroundings.

He expressed admiration for Arne Vodder's furniture design and shared his enjoyment of browsing for treasures at flea markets, specifically mentioning Burträsk as a location. His current work with EOE Eyewear's resort collection draws inspiration from his personal connection to Sri Lanka, suggesting a blend of Scandinavian design principles with influences from the island nation.
