Designer Reda Paula Seeks Luxury Beyond Purchase in New Collection

Designer Reda Paula's new spring/summer collection celebrates a luxury not found in material possessions, but in reclaiming one's time, body, and attention. The collection, born from a longing for a life with more feeling and less haste, centers on a woman who embraces both gentleness and wildness, prioritizing naturalness over perfection.

Motifs of bare feet in sand, wind-tousled hair, and sea swims weave through the designs, evoking primal pleasures that cannot be quantified by productivity or captured on screen. Paula voiced her unease with technology's dominance, stating, "I am not scared of technology. I am scared of the moment when it becomes more important than real being – when we forget to look up at the horizon, feel the ground beneath our feet, or the person next to us."

The collection, presented as a proposal for a future where sustainability means a conscious relationship with time, body, and attention, will be unveiled at Vilnius Fashion Week on September 4th. The event itself, running from August 28th to September 7th, will feature Lithuanian and international designers, discussions, a Sustainable Fashion Day, and other cultural initiatives, with a focus on sustainability, cultural diplomacy, and youth talent development.
