Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) candidate for Taipei mayor, Shen Po-yang, visited the Shuangcheng Street night market in Zhongshan District, engaging directly with vendors and the public. Despite inclement weather, supporters, referred to as "Ocean Currents," demonstrated considerable enthusiasm for Shen's campaign.

During his visit, Shen was met with a warm reception. One supporter, who had participated in disaster relief efforts in Hualien, posed for a photo with Shen. Another individual, with a bandaged hand, humorously asked for the mayor's blessing. Notably, an elder presented Shen with a stack of research materials on Tokyo's underground flood control system, offering it as policy reference.

One student presented a heavily annotated copy of a law textbook, indicating a deep engagement with Shen's policy ideas.

The candidate also attended a press conference earlier in the day to announce campaign spokespersons and running mate candidates. His campaign has seen supporters actively participating in fundraising initiatives, with some successfully securing limited-edition donation incentive packages.
