Diego Valdés, a Chilean player reportedly on Colo Colo's radar, made a decisive impact in Argentina, scoring a goal that completed Vélez Sarsfield's comeback victory against Talleres. The match, part of the second round of the Clausura Tournament, ended with a 3-1 scoreline in favor of Vélez.

Valdés entered the game as a substitute in the 86th minute. Despite the late entry, he managed to influence the match in its final moments against Jorge Sampaoli's team. In the 90th minute, he joined a counterattack with Thiago Aguirre, received the ball unmarked in the area, and struck it first-time past goalkeeper Ezequiel Unsain to seal the win.
