Dinamo and FCSB Secure Convincing Romanian Cup Wins

The visiting teams continued to dominate the Romanian Cup, with FCSB and Dinamo recording emphatic wins on Wednesday. FCSB defeated FC Argeș 5-0 in Mioveni, while Dinamo won 4-1 against third-tier Sporting Liești in Galați.

FCSB, coming off two consecutive league defeats, took control against FC Argeș through two goals from David Miculescu in the 30th and 38th minutes. Aymen Boutoutaou, David Popa and Eddy Gnahore completed the scoring. FC Argeș played the final stages with 10 men after Yanis Pîrvu received a second yellow card in the 76th minute.

Dinamo also settled the contest early. Alexandru Musi scored in the fourth minute, and Cătălin Cîrjan converted a penalty after a handball in the 14th minute. Musi added his second five minutes later, hit the crossbar in the 22nd minute, and Hintsa scored Dinamo’s fourth in the 83rd. Petrișor Voinea converted a penalty for Sporting Liești three minutes later.

UTA Arad added a 3-0 away win over Minerul Lupeni in Group A, despite losing goalkeeper Rosa to a 63rd-minute red card. Hakim Abdallah, Andrei Dorobanțu and Tzionis scored. In Group C, Csikszereda won 2-0 at Gloria Bistrița. The results took the visiting teams’ record in the competition to nine wins and one draw.
