Dinamo and Hajduk Among Top Performers at Ramljak Tournament

Dinamo Zagreb's youth academy is once again demonstrating its strength, with the junior team reaching the final of the highly regarded 'Mladen Ramljak' Memorial Tournament. Under the guidance of former Croatian international Milan Badelj, the young Dinamo players have shown they possess the quality to potentially join the senior squad in the future.

The path to the final was impressive. Dinamo's juniors secured their spot in the championship match against Ajax by decisively beating Benfica 4-1. This victory followed a dominant 5-1 win against Club Brugge. The tournament, held at the main stadium in Maksimir, provided a significant platform for these young talents.

Ajax emerged as the group winner, while Hajduk Split secured third place in the tournament. Hajduk's juniors, coached by Hari Vukas, won their third-place playoff on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regular time. The tournament also featured teams like Juventus and Athletic Bilbao.

This year's 'Mladen Ramljak' tournament is particularly poignant as it marks the last edition at the current Maksimir stadium before its renovation. The event is considered crucial for Dinamo's development, offering young players vital international experience and a chance to prove themselves on a larger stage, a tradition the club has relied upon for decades.
