Discovery Bauxite Awards 70 Students for Primary Exit Profile Excellence

Discovery Bauxite has celebrated educational achievement by awarding scholarships to 70 students who demonstrated outstanding performance in the recent Primary Exit Profile (PEP) examinations. The company's commitment to supporting education in its operational areas was evident at a special ceremony held on Thursday, August 13.

These scholarships were presented to the highest-achieving boy and girl from each of the 35 primary schools located within Discovery Bauxite's mining regions in St Ann North West. This initiative directly recognizes and rewards the academic efforts of students in the local community.

Each recipient was honored with a certificate of merit and a financial award of $25,000. This funding is intended to assist the students with the costs associated with their upcoming transition to secondary school in September, easing the financial burden on their families.
