Dismissed CHP Trabzon Chairman Bak Calls Removal an 'Order of Honor'

Mustafa Bak, the dismissed Provincial Chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) in Trabzon, has defiantly labeled his removal from office an "order of honor."

Today this dismissal is an order of honor for these organizations fighting for justice, fighting for democracy in Trabzon for months, and fighting for the future of these children, for the future of our youth.

The decision, announced by Party Spokesperson Müslim Sarı following a meeting of the Central Executive Board (MYK) under the leadership of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, also saw the dismissal of Ortahisar District Chairman Haluk Batmaz. Bak, however, framed the move not as a reprimand but as a badge of distinction for his and his colleagues' sustained efforts in advocating for justice and democracy in Trabzon.

"This dismissal is an order of honor written today for these organizations fighting for justice, fighting for democracy in Trabzon for months, and fighting for the future of these children, for the future of our youth," Bak declared. He emphasized his unwavering commitment and that of his colleagues, stating, "We have never betrayed our comrades. We have never betrayed the friends with whom we set out."

We have not sold out our General Chairman Özgür Özel, who was elected by the free will of our organizations. We have not sold out our President Ekrem İmamoğlu, for whom he paid a price for the future of this country.

Bak explicitly affirmed loyalty to elected party leadership, including General Chairman Özgür Özel and Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, whom he credited with paying a price for the country's future. He rallied party members, urging them not to lose morale and to intensify their struggle, expressing confidence in their collective path to power. "We will grow this struggle even further... and we will be in power," Bak asserted from Trabzon.
