Two men in their 20s, who worked as DJs at a popular amusement ride called 'Disco Pang Pang,' have been apprehended by police for allegedly defrauding young female customers. The suspects are accused of approaching patrons, establishing a rapport, and then manipulating them into taking out loans and opening expensive mobile phone contracts, ultimately absconding with tens of millions of won.

According to the Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police, one 29-year-old man was arrested on August 18, while another 29-year-old man, implicated in the same crimes, was booked without detention on August 21. Investigations revealed that the arrested suspect worked as a DJ at a 'Disco Pang Pang' venue in Anyang City, Gyeonggi Province. He allegedly used direct messages on Instagram and other platforms to build relationships with female customers around his own age.

Prosecutors allege that the suspects enticed their victims by promising financial gains, telling them, "If you do as I say, you can earn money and cover your living expenses." They then allegedly guided the women to take out loans, open high-end mobile phone accounts, and make small payments, before appropriating the loan money and the phones themselves. The stolen phones were reportedly sold on the market.
