DJ Chicken calls Seyi Tinubu daddy, adopts his photo after release

Controversial Nigerian content creator Ademola Abiodun, known as DJ Chicken, has sparked online discussion by changing his Instagram profile picture to that of Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, shortly after his release from prison. He also referred to Seyi Tinubu as 'daddy' in a social media post.

DJ Chicken regained his freedom on Tuesday after meeting bail conditions set by a Magistrate Court in Lagos. He had been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre following a three-count charge. These charges included alleged violations of the Cybercrimes Act, breach of peace, and making threats to kill Seyi Tinubu.

The charges stemmed from a viral video where DJ Chicken allegedly predicted President Tinubu's loss in the 2027 election and threatened the president's son. Following public backlash, he retracted the remarks, claiming they were intended as a joke to gain attention. Despite his apology, he was arrested, arraigned, and granted bail of 1 million naira with two sureties. The case is adjourned until August 3, 2026.
