Do not politicize unity

Malaysia is a country rich in ethnic, religious and cultural diversity. Yet society can become unsettled when irresponsible parties exploit sensitive issues involving race or religion.

If such issues are not handled wisely, they can create tension, strain social relationships and weaken the spirit of togetherness. Strengthening unity therefore requires a comprehensive approach, the article says, rather than allowing it to become a tool of political manipulation.
