Doctor of ex-minister whose grave was opened detained for ‘false testimony’: His statement as a ‘witness’ emerges

Nurettin Demirkol, who is alleged to have been the doctor of former Transport Minister Arif Ahmet Denizolgun, was detained over alleged false testimony after Denizolgun’s grave was opened. His statement to prosecutors on Aug. 26, where he appeared as a witness, has now emerged.

Demirkol said, “Because so much time had passed since the incident, I do not remember who called me. I do not remember the exact time, but it was dark, it was night. I do not remember exactly what they said when they called me. I went to the farm alone.”
