Dog Abandoned in Selsko Brdo Still Not Sheltered After Two Months

More than two months have passed since two puppies were first spotted abandoned in the woods of Selsko Brdo, within the municipality of Pisarovina. One of the puppies was successfully captured and placed in a shelter, quickly finding a new home. However, the other puppy escaped and remains at large in the forest.

A concerned resident who initially found the puppies has continued to provide food and water for the remaining dog. She recently managed to see it briefly before it fled again, noting that the dog has grown significantly but remains wary. She has repeatedly informed the Pisarovina municipal authorities, responsible for the stray animal's welfare, about the dog's presence.

The municipality will continue to take the necessary measures to ensure the dog is safely sheltered.

In response to inquiries, the municipality stated that they are actively working to locate and shelter the second puppy. A camera has been installed at the location where the dogs were first seen, a spot where one of the puppies was previously captured. The area is regularly patrolled, and officials are in continuous communication with local residents who have information about the dog's movements. The responsible shelter in Jastrebarsko is aware of the situation and prepared to assist in capturing and housing the dog once conditions are suitable.

Despite these efforts, the stray dog continues to survive in the woods, increasingly venturing onto the road where it was recently filmed. The municipality assures that necessary measures will continue to be taken to ensure the dog's safe relocation. Until then, the dog persists in its precarious existence, seemingly accustomed to its uncertain life in the wild.
