Dominican Republic tax authority collects over RD$81 billion in July 2026

The Dominican Republic's General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) announced it collected RD$81,475.1 million in July 2026. This figure represents a 6.5% year-on-year increase, equivalent to an additional RD$5,007.2 million compared to July 2025. The DGII's collections accounted for 69.5% of the state's total tax revenue during the month.

From January to July 2026, the DGII's total collections amounted to RD$596,864.7 million. This period saw an 8.8% annual growth in revenue, adding RD$48,214.7 million compared to the same period in 2025. The tax authority highlighted that the Tax on Transfers of Industrialized Goods and Services (ITBIS) and the Income Tax (ISR) were the primary contributors to this growth.

The ITBIS generated RD$20,123.7 million in July, marking a 17.1% increase, driven by a 19.1% rise in total sales and a 10.4% increase in taxable sales, particularly in the commerce, vehicle, and services sectors. Personal Income Tax (ISR) collections reached RD$10,910.6 million, an 18.7% increase, attributed to more taxed employees and higher withholding amounts.

Selective taxes on fuels collected RD$9,238.4 million, up 4.1% year-on-year. Corporate Income Tax and Asset Tax collections totaled RD$14,410.4 million, while mining sector taxes contributed RD$6,402.3 million. Other tax figures collectively added RD$20,389.7 million to the DGII's July total.
