Dompu Religious Affairs Office encourages PAI teachers to master digital technology

The Dompu Religious Affairs Office in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, is actively promoting the adoption of digital technology among Islamic religious education (PAI) teachers. H. Najamuddin, the Head of the Dompu Religious Affairs Office, stressed that PAI teachers must now possess proficiency not only in their subject matter but also in utilizing digital technology and education administration systems. He emphasized that mastering online applications is crucial for teachers to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.

Najamuddin noted that many teachers are still accustomed to conventional work methods and urged them to improve their skills in operating various educational administration support applications. He pointed out that a single administrator cannot manage the needs of numerous teachers regarding applications like SIAGA, highlighting the urgency for teachers to become self-sufficient in digital administration.

The office also encourages PAI teachers to be open to additional responsibilities aligned with their capacities and competencies, viewing this as integral to their professional development. Najamuddin underscored the importance of continuous professional development, particularly in pedagogy and the creation of learning programs, urging teachers to participate in such activities to enhance their skills.
