Domžale Reopens Renovated Swimming Pool Complex After Two Years

After a two-year renovation period, Domžale's beloved swimming pool complex has officially reopened its doors, unveiling a significantly upgraded facility designed to serve the community's recreational needs. The revitalized complex boasts a new large swimming pool, a dedicated shallow pool equipped with a slide for beginners, therapeutic massage pools, and a splash pad catering to the youngest visitors.

The surrounding area has also undergone a complete transformation. New changing rooms, restrooms, and showers have been installed. Beyond the water, the complex now offers land-based activities, including children's playgrounds, concrete table tennis facilities, and an outdoor gym. The area around the gym is designed with tiered seating, making it suitable for organizing community events.

This is a great acquisition for the local community, which will provide entertainment, recreation, and more, throughout the year.

Domžale Mayor Renata Kosec expressed immense pride in this significant addition to the local community, emphasizing its potential for year-round entertainment and recreation. Plans are already in motion to erect a tent over the main pool in the autumn, with both the water and air being heated to ensure usability during colder months. The original lime trees have been preserved, and sunshades have been added to provide comfort on sunny days. While a café space is prepared, refreshments are currently available, and the facility's rich history, dating back to 1951, is honored alongside its modern upgrades.
