‘Don’t Leave Me Like This’ returns with César Bordón and its original cast: premiere date and ticket prices

“Don’t Leave Me Like This” is returning to the stage with its original cast and only 10 performances. The play will open on Saturday, September 12, at 11 p.m. at Timbre 4, reviving a production first staged in 2005.

César Bordón, Eugenia Guerty, Claudio Martínez Bel and Néstor Caniglia will reunite under the direction of Enrique Federman. Mauricio Kartun will again contribute to the authorship. Performances will take place on Saturdays, and tickets are already available through Alternativa Teatral.

The play brings together three men and one woman without explaining why they have met. From that starting point, the four characters move through a situation built from sparse words, silences, tears, laughter and whispers. The production combines humor and absurdity with questions about existence, the passage of time and the limits of friendship.

The work was created by Bordón, Caniglia, Federman, Guerty, Kartun and Martínez Bel, based on an idea by Federman. Its original run won the 2005 Teatro del Mundo Award for Best Playwriting. At the 2005 National Theater Festival, Federman won Best Director, while Guerty and Bordón received the Best Actress and Best Actor awards. The play later toured San Sebastián, Santander and Segovia in Spain in July 2008.

The new production is presented by Gustavo Neistat and Flor Monfort of Talismán Producciones. Tickets start at 14,000 pesos under the SUB 28 promotion, while general admission costs 28,000 pesos.
