Dozens killed as Russia intensifies attacks on Kyiv ahead of NATO summit

Russia's military continued its assault on Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, this month, resulting in dozens of deaths and extensive damage to residential buildings. The intensified attacks preceded a planned NATO summit in Turkey, where U.S. President Donald Trump was set to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to seek an end to the war that began in February 2022.

Videos circulating online showed secondary explosions, possibly from stored ammunition, after a missile strike.
