DPP's New Taipei Mayoral Candidate Su Chiao-hui Courts Lin Clan Support

Su Chiao-hui, the Democratic Progressive Party's candidate for New Taipei mayor, has garnered strong support from the Lin clan association, a significant lineage group in the region. The establishment of the "New Taipei Lin Clan Support Group" signifies a key move to mobilize community backing ahead of the elections.

During the event in Wugu District, Su was met with enthusiastic reception from clan members, many of whom expressed their full support. She articulated her vision for New Taipei, focusing on fostering a robust sense of city pride. "I want to build a sense of city identity for New Taipei, so that every citizen of New Taipei can be proud of New Taipei!" she declared, drawing parallels with the clan's own strong sense of heritage and unity.

Su highlighted her extensive engagement with various Lin clan association events over the past two years, underscoring her commitment to building deep connections with constituents across New Taipei's diverse districts. She pledged to establish a dedicated "Urban Renewal Bureau" to accelerate redevelopment projects, aiming to create safer and higher-quality living environments. Additionally, her administration would focus on developing international tourism brands through initiatives like the "New Crown Coast" and "Diamond Mountain City" projects, showcasing New Taipei's unique coastal and mountainous attractions.

In terms of economic development, Su plans to vigorously promote key industrial zones, including the Shulin Dagangyuan Technology Park, Bali Taipei Port Smart Logistics Park, Tanhai Science City, and the Xizhi-Nangang Smart Biomedical Industry Corridor. These initiatives aim to drive industrial upgrading and innovation within the city. Legislators Lin Shu-fen, Li Kun-cheng, and Lin Chu-yin also attended, endorsing Su and praising her capabilities, urging voters to support her vision for a progressive New Taipei.
