Dr Bawumia congratulates new Christian Council leadership, pledges continued cooperation

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer for Ghana's New Patriotic Party (NPP), has extended congratulations to the newly elected leadership of the Christian Council of Ghana. He affirmed his commitment to working closely with the Council and other faith-based groups, underscoring his vision for a prosperous and peaceful Ghana.

The Christian Council's General Assembly recently elected Rev. Enock Nii Narh Thompson, Executive President of the Ghana Baptist Convention, as its new Chairman. Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Opare Kwakye, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, was elected Vice Chairman. Dr. Bawumia expressed strong confidence in their ability to lead the prominent ecumenical body, which has a history spanning nearly a century.

Reiterating his dedication to partnering with religious institutions, Dr. Bawumia stated his eagerness to collaborate with the Christian Council's leadership to achieve shared goals for the Ghanaian people. He specifically commended the immediate past Chairman, Rt. Rev. Dr. Col (Rtd) Seth Senyo Agbeko, for his distinguished service during his tenure.
