Drag shows on Mexico City's iconic trajineras offer a unique party experience

A unique drag show experience is now available on the iconic trajineras of Xochimilco in Mexico City. This "Dragineras" event offers a vibrant fusion of drag performance and a traditional canal boat tour, promising an afternoon of entertainment and fiesta.

Participants can expect a lively two-hour show featuring drag queens performing lip-sync routines, acrobatic feats, and engaging directly with the audience. The atmosphere is designed for fun, with opportunities for attendees to join the performance, perhaps even taking the microphone themselves. The organizers encourage guests to bring a festive attitude, with options to dress up for the occasion.

To kick off the experience, guests are welcomed with a shot upon arrival. Themed drinks, such as "El elixir de las Dragas," are served throughout the journey, prepared in a cantarito style. While the organizers provide these beverages, attendees also have the option to bring their own drinks, ice, and cups.

The "Dragineras" tours are held on Saturdays, with sessions running from 1:45 PM to 3:45 PM. The experience is exclusively for adults aged 18 and over, who must adhere to onboard rules and exercise caution with alcohol consumption. Pricing varies, with shared group options starting at $690 Mexican pesos per person and private groups (minimum seven people) at $1200 Mexican pesos per person.
