Dragona’s Rosé Romantico 2025 Stands Out for Character and Staying Power

What could be better than writing about wine inside a winery, tasting it while looking out over the vineyards? At the presentation of the summer issue of Vinske zvijezde in the new Dragona winery in Islam Grčki, the most romantic wine among the bottles sampled was Dragona’s Rosé Romantico 2025.

Its delicate salmon color gives way to a clear aroma of strawberries, raspberries and vineyard peach, with restrained notes of lemongrass. A hint of salt already appears on the nose, suggesting that minerality will be one of the wine’s defining features.

The palate confirms that promise. Fruit follows the aroma, while the wine’s fullness wraps around the palate. Saltiness and juiciness lead into a slightly sweet, lingering finish that invites another taste. It is a wine that seems to call you toward temptation, the tasting note says, making restraint important.

Dragana Gagić said the semidry Romantico is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon and has already become a favorite among the winery’s followers. She has started Dragona on her family’s ancestral land, preserving tradition while introducing new ideas.

One of those projects is a three-year-old vineyard of the Grk grape. This year it produced what the article describes as Croatia’s northernmost Grk, which is expected to appear in bottles in spring 2027.
