Dream Star Ladies duo make LA LIGA devt programme

Sanni Aishat and Sofiat Razaq, two promising players from Nigeria Women's League team Dream Star Ladies F.C., have earned a coveted spot in the LALIGA and EA SPORTS Football Development Programme in Madrid, Spain. Their selection marks a significant milestone for the players and the club.

The duo secured their places following the LALIGA EA NEXT Gen Draft in Nigeria, a grassroots initiative organized by LALIGA and EA Sports in collaboration with Legacy Sports, the Nationwide League One, and the Lagos State Football Association. This program aims to identify and nurture young football talent across five countries, including Nigeria, Morocco, Mexico, China, and Japan.

Dream Star Ladies F.C. is particularly proud, as their two selected players are among only eight Nigerian youngsters chosen for the international program, which includes four boys and four girls. The players are currently in Spain, engaging in training and competitions alongside other elite young talents from around the world, under the observation of professional clubs, academies, and scouts.

The selection process rigorously assessed players on technical ability, tactical understanding, physical attributes, and attitude, with a strong emphasis on their potential for long-term development.
