Driver Dies in Bus and Car Collision in Telemark

A fatal traffic accident occurred in Telemark, Norway, on Saturday afternoon when a bus and a car collided. The driver of the car sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the bus involved in the crash has been charged in connection with the incident and had their driver's license confiscated. According to police, the bus appears to have crossed into the oncoming lane before the collision.

There were 14 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident. All were assessed by health personnel, and two were taken to a local emergency room for further evaluation. The sole occupant of the car, the driver, did not survive.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance and a police helicopter, were dispatched to the location. The affected stretch of road, situated between Seljord and Skjelsvik in Porsgrunn, was closed to traffic for an extended period, with authorities estimating it would reopen around midnight.
