Driver Fails to Stop for Police, Apprehended with High Blood Alcohol Level

Police in Hunat Mahallesi attempted to pull over a light commercial vehicle on Mehmet Özhaseki Boulevard, but the driver, identified as B.C., ignored the 'stop' command and fled. A brief chase followed, leading to the driver's capture along with the vehicle.

Subsequent checks by the Traffic Control Branch Directorate revealed that B.C. had a blood alcohol content of 1.63 promille, significantly exceeding the legal limit. It was also determined that B.C.'s driver's license had previously been confiscated and was set to remain invalid until 2037.

As a result, B.C. was issued an administrative fine of 602,000 Turkish Lira under relevant traffic laws. The vehicle, found to be without a valid inspection and insurance, was impounded and removed by a tow truck.

During questioning, B.C. claimed to be unaware of being pursued despite multiple police warnings. Legal proceedings have been initiated against B.C. for driving under the influence, and the individual was taken to the police station for further statements.
