Driver Flees Scene After Crashing into Motorcycle, Running Over Injured

A shocking hit-and-run incident in Mersin, Turkey, was captured on security camera, showing a driver striking a motorcycle and then fleeing the scene after running over injured victims.

The accident occurred in the Çağdaşkent neighborhood of Toroslar district when a car veered out of its lane and collided with an oncoming motorcycle. The impact sent three of the four individuals on the motorcycle flying, while a child landed on the car's hood.

In a disturbing turn of events, the car's driver exited the vehicle, removed the child from the hood, and then re-entered the car. The driver proceeded to drive over two of the injured individuals lying on the ground before speeding away from the crash site. A bystander attempting to stop the fleeing car narrowly avoided being hit.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, and the injured individuals were transported to the hospital. Police have initiated a search for the driver, and the Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the incident. The car's license plate and the driver's identity are still being determined.
