A single-vehicle accident occurred in Jakarta's Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) on Wednesday morning, July 15, 2026. A BYD car collided with the glass wall of the LG Treasury Tower after the driver mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brake pedal.

Police initially received a report via the emergency line 110 about a car hitting the building's exterior, causing extensive glass breakage. Personnel from the Kebayoran Baru Police Sector responded promptly to the scene. Initial investigations pointed to driver error as the cause.

"The car is automatic. While turning, the driver intended to brake but accidentally hit the accelerator, causing the car to speed up and crash into the building," Joko explained. No injuries or fatalities occurred. The damage was limited to the vehicle and the building's glass facade. The driver committed to covering all repair costs.
