Drua fired up for revamped 2027 Super Rugby season

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua are embracing a significant overhaul of the Super Rugby Pacific competition, set to launch in 2027 with an expanded season and a restructured Finals Series. Organizers confirmed the new format will feature a 17-week regular season, during which each team will play 16 matches, commencing on February 12.

Under the revised structure, the top six teams will advance to the Finals Series. Notably, the top two teams will secure a direct path to the semi-finals, adding strategic importance to consistent performance throughout the regular season. Fijian Drua Chief Executive Jeff Miller views these changes as a substantial benefit for the club, its dedicated supporters, and the competition as a whole.
