Drug operation in Istanbul's Esenyurt seizes 5 kilos of narcotics

Istanbul police have confiscated over 5 kilograms of methamphetamine during an anti-drug operation in the Esenyurt district. The operation targeted a residence suspected of being used for drug trafficking.

Officers from the Istanbul Police Department launched an investigation after receiving information about drug trade activities at a house in Koza Mahallesi. A raid was conducted on the specified address, leading to the arrest of four individuals: A.A. (32), F.H. (25), V.A. (25), and K.A. (27).

During the search of the premises, authorities discovered two packages containing a total of 5 kilograms and 252 grams of methamphetamine. Additionally, two unlicensed handguns and their magazines were seized. The suspects were also found to be carrying mobile phones, 4,300 Turkish Liras, and 10 Euros.

Following their detention and processing at the police station, the suspects were brought before the judiciary. Three of them, F.H., V.A., and K.A., were released under judicial control measures. However, A.A. was ordered to be arrested and subsequently transferred to a penal institution.
